Yarrabee & Castlemaine Stone Solutions” carry a range of sandstone suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Being a porous natural stone it is recommended that the stone is sealed for ease of maintenance. Outdoors, a penetrating sealer is recommended to assist with ease of cleaning. A pressure cleaner has been proven to be the most effective means of cleaning sandstone outdoors.
It is important to note that unlike many sandstones, Yarrabee sandstone has been tested and found suitable for use around salt chlorinated pools. The non slip properties along with the aesthetic appeal of this stone have made it a popular selection for pool surrounds and outdoor entertaining areas. It is also often used as an indoor flooring material which flows out to the patio and pool.
Our sandstone is sorted into 3 main colour blends- Desert Sand, Pink Blush, Golden Dunes. Other colours are available and can be organized with sufficient lead time.
