Dry Stone Walling

Home > Dry Stone Walling

Dry stone walling is a centuries-old technique to build houses, fences, entry pillars and garden walls, and we continue the legacy of stone masonry to this day. For over 50 years we have been hand-sorting the stone for application in dry stone walling.

Our dry stone walling falls into two categories:

• Castlemaine spalls: From our unique Castlemaine Stone range, this stone is from Victoria and usually results in a
stacked wall about 250-300mm thick. We also offer the Castlemaine Strata option, which is a smaller selection
with  a maximum depth of 120mm and is generally stacked in front of a block wall.

• Wistow Bookleaf: Our Wistow Bluestone comes from South Australia and is fantastic for creating a natural, yet
elegant look. This stone is only available as bookleaf walling as there are no cut tiles. The Wistow is sorted into
size and thickness, and it is a very popular and versatile dry stone wall product because of its flat profile.

If you're considering a dry stone wall, please give us a call or come and visit our showroom, where you can speak to one of our stone experts about your next project and see exactly what we offer.
